Decides that the arms embargo measures established by resolution 2127 (2013) and the notification requirements set out in paragraph 1 of resolution 2648 (2022) shall no longer apply to the supply, sale or transfer of arms and related materiel and the provision of assistance, advice and training to the CAR security forces, including state civilian law enforcement institutions. Extends the arms embargo for all other relevant actors, travel ban and asset freeze until 31 July 2024 and the mandate of the Panel of Experts until 31 August 2024.

THE SITUATION IN THE REPUBLIC OF NIGER

The members of the Security Council strongly condemned the efforts to unconstitutionally change the legitimate government of the Republic of Niger on 26 July 2023.
The members of the Security Council called for the immediate and unconditional release of the democratically elected President of the Republic, H.E Mohammed Bazoum, and underscored the need to protect him, his family and members of his government.
