Mr. Richard Malanjum (Malaysia), appointed as Ombudsperson on 28 January 2022, and reappointed on 21 June 2024

From 2018 to 2019, Mr. Malanjum served as the 9th Chief Justice of Malaysia. From 2006 to 2018, he served as Chief Judge at the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in Malaysia.
