Extends the mandate of the Monitoring Group referred to in paragraph 3 of resolution 1558 (2004) for a further six months.

Authorizes IGAD and Member States of the African Union to maintain for a further period of six months a mission in Somalia (AMISOM), established pursuant to resolution 1725 (2006). Decides that the measures imposed by paragraph 5 of resolution 733 (1992) and further elaborated in paragraph 1 and 2 of resolution 1425 (2002) shall not apply to:
(a) supplies of weapons and military equipment, technical training and assistance intended solely for the support of or use by AMISOM; or

Decides that the measures imposed by paragraph 5 of resolution 733 (1992) and further elaborated in paragraph 1 and 2 of resolution 1425 (2002) shall not apply to:

Authorizes IGAD and Member States of the African Union to establish a protection and training mission in Somalia, to be reviewed after an initial period of six months.
