Decides to lift the arms embargo on the CAR established under resolution 2127 (2013) as amended and extended by resolution 2693 (2023).
Decides that, until 31 July 2025, all Member States shall take the necessary measures to prevent the direct or indirect supply, sale or transfer of arms and related materiel of all types, including weapons and ammunition, military vehicles and equipment, paramilitary equipment, and spare parts, to armed groups and associated individuals operating in the CAR, including prohibiting technical assistance, training, financial or other assistance, related to military activities or the provision, maintenance or use of any arms and related materiel.
Decides to authorise all Member States to, upon discovery of items prohibited by paragraph 2 of resolution 2745 (2024), seize, register and dispose prohibited items, and decides that the Member State who seizes and disposes of such items shall notify the Committee of such disposal within 30 days providing details of all items disposed of and the precise manner in which they were disposed of.
Extends the travel ban and asset freeze until 31 July 2025 and the mandate of the Panel of Experts until 31 August 2025, which is renamed to the Panel of Experts pursuant to resolution 2745 (2024).
Requests the Panel to devote special attention to the analysis of illicit transnational supply and trafficking networks which continue to fund and supply armed groups in the CAR, and to threats relating to explosive ordnances, in cooperation with experts from the subregional communities (ICGLR and ECCAS), UNOCA, UNMAS, as well as with other Panels or Groups of Experts established by the Security Council as appropriate.
Decides that the Committee shall be renamed to the Committee pursuant to resolution 2745 (2024).
