The exemptions from the arms embargo are provided for by the following:
There are currently no travel ban exemptions in effect.
Per paragraph 6 (e) of Annex B of resolution 2231 (2015), the travel ban restriction shall not apply:
Per paragraph 6 (d) of Annex B of resolution 2231 (2015), the assets freeze restrictions shall not apply to funds, other financial assets or economic resources that have been determined by relevant States:
Paragraph 6 (e) of Annex B of resolution 2231 (2015) requires all States to take the necessary measures to prevent the entry into or transit through their territories of the individuals currently maintained on the 2231 List. This provision shall not oblige a State to refuse its own nationals entry into its territory.
Paragraph 6 (c) of Annex B of resolution 2231 (2015) requires all States to freeze the funds, other financial assets and economic resources which are on their territories that are owned or controlled by the individuals and entities on the 2231 List.
Paragraph 5 of Annex B of resolution 2231 (2015) stipulates that all States may participate in and permit, provided that the Security Council decides in advance on a case-by-case basis to approve:
